SolveStats.
Rubik’s Cube Solve Time Analyzer
A full-stack speedcubing analytics platform that parses a 4,999-solve CSV/csTimer export in 142 ms into five interactive Chart.js visualizations, combining statistical analysis with multi-device sync and public profiles.
React / FastAPI / MongoDB / Chart.js / SciPy / NumPy
Project motivation
A faster time tells part of the story. What about everything in between?
An interest in speedcubing led to a question: how could deeper statistical analysis help make sense of improvement? SolveStats explores the patterns behind individual times and the bigger picture of progress.
Provisional motivation draft · to be reviewed by JimboA closer look at every solve.
SolveStats turns solve histories into interactive Chart.js visualizations and statistical insights. Monte Carlo simulations, changepoint detection, and competition placement prediction offer different ways to understand performance.
Engineering &
implementation.
A full-stack foundation
React, FastAPI, and MongoDB Atlas support eight account/session endpoints, seven Firebase-authenticated, for multi-device sync and public profiles. Deployed on Vercel and Render.
Statistics behind the times
A SciPy/NumPy engine runs five resampling simulations with 10,000 trials each, PELT changepoint detection, and Welch’s t-test.
Competition context
Live WCA API integration powers placement simulations returning in 139 ms median.
